Over the years, Thanksgiving has stealthily creeped its way into the top spot for favorite holiday. It truly embodies the way I feel about family, food, and togetherness.
This year, I have so much to be thankful for and as much as I’d love to list each of these out for days and days, I will boil it down to three things.
- The safety and good health of my NY family and friends, particularly after the devastating hurricane that wreaked havoc on my native Long Island.
- My little Boston family, that has been a constant source of comfort, good laughs, and phenomenal eating companions!
- Mr. E, who has taught me to be a teeny bit patient, more responsible (without being too grownup), and to never let love be mediocre.
And with that, I leave you with some of my most favorite things to eat… the things we make at home.
Key to good stuffed mushrooms — BUTTER!
Sage, diced apples, celery, and onion for stuffing
Apple and sausage stuffing
Lardons for the brussels spouts
Brussels spouts
The only way we do cranberry sauce
One happy plate
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ended your day with a very full belly.
